Library

The Shire has a library service located at the Shire offices. It is available during office hours - 9:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The library is administered by the Shire and the State Library and Information Service. Videos, DVD's (i.e. documentaries) and other resources are available on request for people with special needs. 

Telecommunications

A satellite service is available within the town site.   GWN, ABC and WIN are the main broadcasting stations received in the region.

Koorda Community Resource Centre

The Koorda Community Resource Centre is situated on Railway Street. Contact Kim Storer (08) 9684 1081 for details.

Churches

Anglican, Roman Catholic and Uniting Churchs are located in the Shire of Kooda. Regular services are advertised in the district paper "Narkal Notes".

District Maps

District Maps are situated in Railway Street, opposite the C.W.A. Community Centre, and in the Information Bay in Haig Street.You can also download them from this website.

Airstrip

An airstrip on the south east boundary of the town site is available for light aircraft.

Local Newspaper

"Narkal Notes" a local newspaper and published each week. It is produced by the Koorda Community Resource Centre and provides full coverage of local events. You contact the paper on (08) 9684 1081.  Deadline for Items is Monday 2pm.

Koorda Agricultural Show

The local district show is held each year in September. This is an annual event with many different competitions, craft and produce. There is also a stalls and displays area. A great community event with fun for the whole family!
