Nursing Post

A nurse is in attendance

• Tuesday 12-2pm
• Thursday 12 - 2pm (NO DOCTOR PRESENT)
• Friday 9am - 4pm (NO DOCTOR PRESENT)

Ambulance

St. John Ambulance Centre is located in Allenby Street and has one ambulance on stand-by. This station is manned by a volunteer team which provides a valuable service to the whole community.

Public Defibrillator

A full automated defribrillator is located at the Koorda IGA and is  accessible  for anyone  to use whilst awaiting for an ambulance to arrive.

ALWAYS DIAL 000 - when there is an emergency, the public defribillator acts as an immediate measure to use whilst waiting for an ambulance to arrive.

Doctor

The Doctor resides in Wyalkatchem, holds surgery in Koorda on Wednesday at the Koorda Health Building.  For an appointment contact the Wyalkatchem Medical Centre during their office hours on Monday's, Tuesday's & Thursday's (08) 9681 1140.

Child Health

Every Tuesday from 9am - 12noon at the Koorda Health Building, Allenby Street Koorda.  Please ring  (08) 9684 1288 for appointments.

Immunisation

Every second Friday morning 10.00am to 12.00pm at the Koorda Health Building, Allenby Street Koorda (08) 9684 1288.

Hospital

The Hospital is situated at Wyalkatchem which is approximately 45km away. It has general hospital facilities along with Frail Aged Accommodation on site.

Child walking evaluation, posture, gait assessment, sport podiatry and more.

Community Mental Health Nurse

A mental health nurse is available for counselling by contacting the Wyalkatchem hospital.

Home Help for the Elderly

Arrangements can be made by contacting the hospital or the extended care nurse. Home help and care is available to those who are recovering from illness, or the elderly. Meals-on-wheels, house cleaning and laundry are some services available.

Dental Clinic

The Road Dental Van comes to Koorda once a year to give free treatment to school aged children but is also available for the public to make appointments.
