Building Licence

Building Construction Requirements – The following information details the general building requirements within the Shire of Koorda.

Building Code of Australia Coverage – All residential buildings to be constructed within the District, whether in town sites or in rural areas, require the submission of building plans and specifications prior to the commencement of work.

You must submit plans and obtain a Building Licence for an outbuilding or swimming pool fence even though they are located in rural areas.

Any building questions or matters can be address to our Building Officer Mr Julian Goldacre, who is in attendance at our Shire Office every Monday or can be contacted on mobile 0428 831 037.
