Sporting Clubs

There are a number of sporting clubs in the Koorda area and they link in and play with and against other towns in the region.

Golf Association

Sunday is the Social Club day starting at 12 noon.  The Club also holds various tournaments throughout the season.

Basketball Association

Koorda's Basketball club is strong with Junior's, Mixed teams that all play on a Wednesday. The season starts in October and finishes in March.

Koorda Cricket Club

The Cougars play on Saturdays in the Central Wheatbelt Association from October to March. Training is held on Tuesday and Thursday.

Pistol Shooting Club

The Pistol Club is approximately 10km along the Koorda to Mollerin Road. Sessions take place every Sunday starting at 10:00am all year round.

Football Club

The Koorda Kangas play on Saturdays in the Central Wheatbelt Association with games starting with Juniors at 1:00pm-2:15pm and Seniors 2:15pm-5:00pm. Season commences end of April and lasts through to early September.

Koorda Darts Club

Womens darts are held every Monday at 7.00pm and Mens darts held every Wednesday night at 7:30pm at the Bowling Club and the Koorda Hotel. Teams of 6 Men and 4 Ladies play. There are also doubles and singles competitions. The seaon is May - September.

Tennis Association

Badgerin Tennis Club

The Badgerin Tennis Club meets every Sunday at 2:00pm from October to April for social games.

Koorda Tennis Club

Koorda Tennis Club have the same season as the Badgerin Club and also meet on Sunday with a 3:00pm start. Social and interclub competitions. Association Mixed Penants on Friday evenings.   Contact: Peter Longmuir 96841 058 or 0427 841 059

Koorda Swimming Club

Located in the center of town adjacent to the Koorda Shire Office. The pool usually opens between mid October and April with the swimming club following suit. Contact: Koorda Swimming Pool (08) 9684 1301

Bowling Association

Situated in Greenham Street. Starts October and lasts through to April with a licenced members club available. Pennants are on Saturdays at 2:00pm and Competitions are on Sundays.
Mixed and Social games are played at 1:30pm.
Ladies also play on a Wednesday for mid-week penants with a 9:30am start.

Music & Dramatic Club

This is not a sporting club as such but with the enthusiasm that this group put into their club it may as well be a sport. The members put on various performances throughout the year and have had great success. Their club rooms are on Ninghan Street. Some performances are put on there and others in the larger Town Hall depending upon the production.

Hockey Club

The Koorda Ladies Hockey Club play Saturdays at 1:30pm, with the same fixtures as the football club from April to September.

Netball Club

The Koorda Netball Club plays on Saturdays at 12:00 noon. Fixtures are the same as the football club. Junior Netballers play at 1.30pm
