The new and improved Paddock to Plate App has just been launched and your local farmers could be on it!

The App is FREE to download in the Apple App Store and on Android, so please go and have a look at the business profiles currently subscribed.

It is the first App of its kind that allows users to find local farmers, whether it be at farm gates, farmers’ markets etc, who produce the ingredients needed to make specific recipes.

If a recipe ingredient is not produced locally, then all the farmers on the national database who produce this ingredient will appear in a listing.

Not only does the App encourage people to support and buy local food, boosting the local economy, it also raises people’s awareness about food origin and sustainability in an effort to reduce food miles.
